Yes, we know gas prices are sky high but some road trips are worth paying extra for – and that’s certainly the case with two big events coming up at the end of this month. So if you’re looking for a great automotive getaway to close out July, we suggest you try attending either the Yellow Rose Classic Car Show at the Arlington Convention Center just outside of Dallas, Texas, or the MCA Nickel City MCA National Show in Buffalo, New York. As for Yellow Rose, our friends in the North Texas Mustang club host the largest all-Ford indoor show in the Southwest featuring late-model, vintage, performance and classic Blue Oval cars and trucks from across the region. Setup day for the 32nd Annual Yellow Rose Classic (also known as the Southwest All-Ford Nationals) is Friday, July 29th and the show runs Saturday and Sunday July 30 and 31. Street, Show and Display Only classes are available and there’s plenty of awards to go around, including for Best-Of, Class Trophies, Special Display Awards, People’s Choice, and Participant’s Choice. This show has it all – great cars, great vendors and it’s all indoors. Come out to the show and help the North Texas Mustang Club celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. Find all the details at www.yellowrosecarshow.com.
Prefer a more traditional Mustang Club of America (MCA) style National Show? Look no further than the Nickel City Mustang Roundup, an MCA National Mustang Show hosted by the Western New York Shelby & Mustang Club from July 29-31. Register on Friday so that you have time to check out all the great Mustangs on the show field on Saturday at the Buffalo Marriott Niagara Hotel. Don’t forget to sign up for the boat cruise and dinner on the historic Erie Canal, and also for Sunday’s Breakfast and Awards Ceremony (fueled by NPD). Full MCA rules will apply for judged vehicles and you can expect the best of the best for the display class as well. Get all the event info by visiting the club’s website at http://www.wnymustang.org.

Among the handful of big, annual bucket-list shows that any and all Ford fans know about has been Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach, S.C., which has built a cult following for two decades now. Well, the Mustang Week organizers are moving on and have decided to make this year’s 21st Annual Mustang Week their final pilgrimage to famed Myrtle Beach and their last weeklong party at the Grand Strand. Whether you’re a regular participant or have never attended before, this is your last chance to find out what all the show’s excitement has been about for the past 20 years. Sure, you can drop the family off at the beach for the week and do your Mustang thing by yourself – but it would be a mistake to have anyone miss out on all the fun that’s planned. There’s the Kick-Off Party at nearby Murrells Inlet, S.C., on Monday; the big Dyno Challenge and a dinner Meet-Up at Suck-Bang-Blow happens on Tuesday; and after some beach time, shopping and lunch on Wednesday, the Mustang Week staff is hosting a “Stangs At The Beaver” meet-up at The Beaver Bar in Murrell’s Inlet. The action heats up on Thursday with the Mustang Week Autocross taking place, along with a “Test-N-Tune” day at the recently renovated Darlington (S.C.) Dragway. The big, judged Car Show happens on Friday back at Myrtle Beach Mall, with up to 1,200 cars and 15,000 spectators expected, and the final Cruise-In to the Mall is on Saturday, followed by the Car Show Awards. It’s sure to be one for the record books, so make the last Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach a memorable one by getting all the details at https://mustangweek.com.

It also allows Ford Performance to see all the clubs and groups in a certain area, so that when we are coming to town or planning a special Ford event in your city or state, you and your club members can be contacted to participate.
