PIACENZA, ITALY – On the 61st anniversary of the Ford Mustang, something historic happened – not in Detroit, but across the roads of Europe. Mustang clubs from Italy, United Kingdom, France, Finland, Luxembourg, Poland, Germany, Romania, Croatia, Portugal, Ukraine, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia and Moldova had joined forces under a single name:

the European Mustang Clubs Association (EMCA). For the first time in history, Mustang owners, enthusiasts and communities across the European continent will now have one united voice – built by passion, not corporations. The EMCA isn't a marketing campaign – It's a grassroots movement.

"We are owners, collectors, drivers – but above all, we are storytellers," said Fabrizio Schenardi, founder of MustangMania.it and promoter of the EMCA initiative. "The EMCA gives structure to something that already exists: a living, beating Mustang culture in Europe."

Mustang is one of the world's most beloved nameplates, and Europe has long played an important – yet under-recognized – role in its global fanbase. From Norway to Portugal, from Poland to the UK, thousands of owners gather at local meets, club events, and track days. Until now, they've operated independently. The European Mustang Clubs Association changes that

The official launch of the EMCA took place on April 17th, 2025, when all member clubs simultaneously launched the association with a coordinated social media campaign under the slogan:

"Join the Mustang (R)Evolution." A unified video reel went live on social channels with every club tagging Ford Mustang and Ford Performance accounts – calling the global brand to recognize the growing heartbeat of Europe's Mustang culture. A special Preview Event took place in Italy on April 13th. Days before the digital launch, the association was previewed in-person at a major Mustang gathering in Italy, organized in collaboration with Ford of Italy and the Mustang Club of Italy. The event brought together hundreds of owners and marked the beginning of a new era.

With the Mustang being a global icon, having it being reimagined in Europe with the formation of the EMCA is worthy of the spotlight as a key moment in the evolution of the Mustang enthusiast  community in Europe.
