MOHNTON, PA – Ford fans know the American Muscle name as an aftermarket company with an extensive parts catalog for SN95 Mustangs that celebrates Ford’s fourth-generation pony cars with a big annual show at Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. As the company expanded with parts offerings to other enthusiast brands, this once all-Mustang-exclusive show has since turned into a much larger event including Dodge Chargers and Challengers, Chevrolet Camaros, Jeeps, and a variety of Ford, Dodge, and Chevrolet pickup trucks.
Every vehicle on display at the 2025 show seemed to have been modified – likely with many parts that came from American Muscle parts catalogs or its online sites. Despite being held early in the car show season, the American Muscle show is relatively large compared to most spring shows available to enthusiasts. And the expansion beyond Mustang has only served to make it even more popular.
This year’s show was supposed to take place on Saturday, April 26th but due to intense rain and storms that day it was moved to the following day on Sunday the 27th. That likely put a damper on things as there was no record-breaking crowd this time around, but eager enthusiasts – still mostly Mustang and Ford owners and fans – didn’t let a weather forecast water down their spirits. That meant that again this year, the majority of vehicles on the show field were Mustangs, far beyond any of the Brand X participants.
It didn’t take long for the show field to fill up and the action to heat up at Maple Grove Raceway. The big draw here is the drag strip, where you can sign up to participate in some heads-up racing over the quarter-mile track. There was also an outdoor dyno booth on-site, which always seems to attract a lot of attention from the crowd. And yes, there were plenty of vendor tents filled with new aftermarket items for your vehicle. Wheels, exhausts, shift knobs, power-adders – you name it, they were there and affiliated with American Muscle’s catalogs. Maple Grove is a big place so you needed to bring your walking shoes – but it was easy to get “refueled” thanks to a wide variety of different breakfast and lunch vendors set up there, complete with tables and chairs to accommodate hungry fans.
Beyond the drag racing, burnout and revving competitions, American Muscle’s very own internet sensation, Justin Dugan, and his team at American Trucks unveiled their newly completed Ford F-Series pickup custom-built for a United States Army veteran. A Bronze Star recipient had his Magma Red Ford F-150 completely revamped and upgraded by the guys at American Trucks. You can watch the transformation of the truck on their YouTube channel to see different parts of the build being completed.
Following the truck unveiling, the jet cars ran made another pass down the strip since most of the people in attendance were already seated in the stands. The jet cars are a drag racing fan favorite, rocketing down the track and completing their quarter-mile run in just over 5 seconds at 285 mph! These cars got the crowd fired up just in time for the monster truck demonstration. There’s really nothing like seeing these colorful trucks perform, packing thousands of horsepower and standing tall on some massive 66-inch high, 43-inch-wide tires. Needless to say, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for the poor cars being crushed by the monster trucks. If you didn’t understand the word “destruction” before the demonstration, you certainly did after!
Of course we were there to check out the most eye-catching Fords and Mustangs we were able to find, and offer some of our favorites from the 2025 American Muscle show in our gallery below – enjoy!
