THE VILLAGES, Fla. – We recently offered a “Quick Look” about a cruise-in at a town called The Villages in Central Florida, just a short drive northeast from Orlando. These monthly car shows are held on the second Saturday of the month along The Villages’ main boulevard in the Spanish Springs Town Square. That particular cruise-in was hosted by Thunderbird Club of the Villages, whose members came out to proudly display their “Baby Bird” 1955-57 Ford Thunderbirds.
While the event isn’t Ford-specific, it does host certain weekends with Ford vehicles as the show’s main featured attraction – hence that month’s show had sought out first-gen Thunderbirds. Although it wasn’t a “Ford” weekend per se, the show also attracted a wide variety of other classic and collectible Blue Oval vehicles. It was soon apparent from sorting through the photos we received that there were many fine Fords of interest in attendance on that day deserving of their own, separate “Quick Look.” So we’re back with this gallery to properly appreciate the quality Ford rides found there that were not wearing a Thunderbird badge. As is usually the case for automotive events in The Sunshine State, Jeff Burgy – our own Florida Ford super-enthusiast and SAAC-MCR Club founder – was on-site with his camera back in March for the T-Birds and also shares pics of some of his favorite Fords that he spotted at the show below:
