Mustang clubs aren’t the only Ford enthusiast vehicle organizations that host big events each fall. Take the members and friends of the Lonestar Early Bronco Club of Huntsville, Texas, for example. The LEBC gang is packing up their gear and getting ready to roll out this weekend for their “6th Annual Fall at The Falls” event November 1-3 at Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls, Texas. And you and your Ford Bronco are invited to join them.
Last’s year’s event drew nearly 40 Broncos from across the region who came out to take on the terrain at Hidden Falls, which range from the "easy" trails for stock or near-stock rigs, all way up to some rocky ridges and newly-cut, more difficult trails which have become even more challenging after recent heavy rains. The LEBC will be setting up its event HQ at Area B in Hidden Falls Adventure Park, which has a club discount rate for the cabins, RV hook-up sites, tent sites with electricity, and primitive tent or RV sites all in the same area. There are also many places to stay in nearby Marble Falls, Texas, if you don't want to camp. A "free to Club Members" dinner will be provided on Saturday night. Just click on the club link for full event info.
Speaking of Ford Bronco events, the Bronco Club of America would like to invite you to display your Bronco at Ford Championship Weekend on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Homestead Miami Speedway in Florida. Entry to this event includes:
• Bronco Parking for ONE (1) Bronco (1966-1996) in the Ford Bronco Corral
• Two Grandstand tickets to the Ford EcoBoost 400 on Sunday, November 17th
• Pre-Race Pit Passes
• Light Lunch
• Ford Performance gifts
• NASCAR Driver Q&A Sessions
There will be a tent with chairs and tables for you and for protection from the elements. To be eligible for tickets, you must bring a Ford Bronco to this event. Volunteers from the Bronco Club of America and Ford will be onsite starting at 7 a.m. to assist with parking vehicles. Your Bronco will be on display in the corral throughout the day, and we ask that all Broncos remain in the display area at least until 3:30 p.m. (after the race starts). Simply click Bronco Display to register. Once you are registered, you will be sent additional information.
This special Bronco Coral is reserved for Bronco owners specifically, and Homestead will be a great place to show off your Ford Bronco and connect with other Bronco owners. We hope to see you there – as well as your Ford Bronco in our special display!
Of course if a big Mustang and Ford show is more your thing and you happen to be in Florida on Saturday, November 2, then you can join the Mustang Club of Tampa who is hosting its 38th Annual Mustang, Shelby & Ford Roundup at Tampa Joe’s. And the following day, Sunday, November 3, has the Space Coast Mustang Club holding its 37th Annual Mustang and Ford Show at Pat Bay Ford in Palm Bay, Florida. If this is your weekend for a getaway to the desert Southwest instead, then you can check out the “7th Annual All-Ford Powered Car and Mustang Show,” put on by the good people of the Desert Sky Mustang Club out of Casa Grande, AZ. The show will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, at the Ultra Star Multi-tainment Center in Maricopa, Arizona. You can find more info HERE.
There’s more car show action on tap for Sunday, November 10, as well. If you head on down to Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda, Florida, that day, you’ll find the Mustang Club of Charlotte County hosting its “18th Annual Fun in the Sun Car Show.” If you head for the Southern Border that same Sunday, you can catch the “27th Annual Mustang Round-Up & All-Ford Show” being held at Spikes Ford in Mission, Texas. The event is put on by our friends in the South Texas Mustang Club, who really know how to have a good time. Better still, you get a free T-shirt with your entry! And a week later, down in Louisiana, you can catch the “Baton Rouge Area Mustangers All-Ford Power Show” on Saturday, November 16, at Hollingsworth Richard Ford in Baton Rouge. Not only will the club hand out trophies for the Top 25 Mustangs, but also for the Top 10 Ford-powered vehicles. Just click on the club links to get details – and then pack your bags!
There’s Still Time to Win a 1-of-1 Venom Metallic 2020 GT500 in Special JDRF Raffle
We’re sure by now you’ve heard that the new 760-horsepower 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 will be hitting dealer showrooms soon. But have you heard that you can win a custom-painted one being raffled-off by Ford and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation?
It’s true! Ford is donating a custom 2020 Mustang Shelby® GT500® adorned in one-of-a-kind Venom paint that will be raffled to benefit JDRF and its battle against Type 1 diabetes. The 2019 JDRF Mustang Shelby GT500 comes in a one-of-one Venom metallic clearcoat – a stealthy charcoal color – with black painted over-the-top racing stripes. It has the Carbon Fiber Track Package, including exposed carbon fiber wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, rear seat-delete, Recaro® leather-trimmed seats and Mustang GT4 track wing.
“Building on the excitement around GT500 is a terrific way to help JDRF fund research and help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes,” said Dave Pericak, Ford director of enterprise product line management. “Not only does this raffle provide an opportunity to win the most powerful production Ford ever, it also speaks to how Ford strives to make people’s lives better.”
Ford has been donating vehicles to JDRF for its raffle fund-raiser for nearly a decade. Ford teamed up with Protean and Penske Vehicle Services to create this custom-colored pony car. Ford and JDRF are aiming to sell 75,000 raffle tickets during this annual fundraiser to raise money for JDRF, which is an international leader in Type 1 diabetes research funding, programming and awareness.
The first-place raffle winner takes home the Venom Shelby GT500. The second-place winner will receive an all-inclusive VIP race experience for two to the 2020 Daytona 500. Tickets can be purchased online at https://p2p.onecause.com/jdrfgt500 until Nov. 10. Tickets cost $10 each. The drawing will be held Nov. 14 at the Ford Conference and Event Center, 1151 Village Road, Dearborn, Mich. The winner does not need to be present at the raffle drawing to win.
In case you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know about the new Shelby Mustang, this all-new GT500 really lives up to its heritage, delivering the quickest street-legal acceleration and most high-performance technology to date ever offered in a Ford Mustang. Arriving this fall, the Shelby GT500 features the most power- and torque-dense supercharged V-8 in the world with 760 horsepower and 625 pounds-feet of torque from its Ford Performance 5.2-liter engine. Thanks to its first-in-class Tremec® TR-9070 DCT 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Shelby GT500 achieves a 0-100-0 in just 10.6 seconds – an acceleration experience typically reserved for supercars. Get your JDRF raffle ticket by Nov. 10 and you could be driving a unique one!
Get Your Mustang’s Airbag Recall Completed!
The Takata airbag recalls are the largest and most complex recalls in U.S. automotive history. The recalls currently affect 19 automotive manufacturers and roughly 37 million vehicles. Among these affected vehicles are 2005-2014 model year Mustang vehicles.
In 2014, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Takata Corporation determined that a defect related to motor vehicle safety may arise in some non-desiccated, ammonium nitrate airbag inflators due to propellant degradation occurring after prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling. This degradation can cause the propellant to burn too quickly, creating high pressure inside the inflator, and in extreme cases causing the inflator to rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. A ruptured inflator can send inflator parts toward vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death. Additional information regarding Takata recalls can be found at www.nhtsa.gov and www.safercar.gov.
Parts are readily available to repair currently recalled Mustang vehicles. Ford sent out weekly mailings last October and November to all Mustang owners whose vehicle currently has an open Takata airbag recall. It is important that you determine if your vehicle is affected and, if so, have it repaired FREE by a Ford or Lincoln Dealer, especially before it goes into storage for the winter.
In some cases, only the driver’s or passenger’s side may be affected. In other cases, both the driver’s side and passenger’s side need to be repaired. The passenger side airbag cover is not replaced during the repair, so any signatures or other insignia on your dash will remain.
This situation requires immediate attention and is not to be taken lightly. You can input your VIN at www.FordAirbagInfo.com to see if your vehicle is affected by the airbag recall and locate a dealership to you schedule your repair. If you need assistance scheduling an appointment, or your dealership indicates that they are not able to obtain parts to repair your vehicle, please contact our Ford Customer Care Team at 1-866-436-7332.

Here’s How Easy it is to Have Your Car Featured in our Ford Fan Spotlight
For the past decade, one of the most popular features on FordPerformance.com and in our Fast News e-newsletter continues to be "Ford Fan Spotlight," where readers can send in their own reasons why they're fans of Ford Motor Company. You know who they are: Ford "superfans;" grassroots Ford racers; unique Ford vehicle owners; loyal Ford enthusiasts; notable Ford club people; special Ford families; and/or any avid supporter of Ford, Ford vehicles, Ford motorsports or Ford Performance who deserves a little bit of special recognition.
All you need to do to get you, your car or candidate considered is to send in a brief description (200-500 words or less) and a few photos (in .jpeg format, preferably 1 mb) of a person (full name and hometown, please) and vehicle that you think Ford Performance should feature (and why) in the "Ford Fan Spotlight" for an upcoming installment of Fast News and posting on FordPerformance.com. Then email it to: ClubHub@Ford.com. Should you wish to send a video, you simply need to post it on www.YouTube.com (preferably 1-2 minutes long) and send in the link, along with a brief description, to that same ClubHub@Ford.com email address. We'll choose one submission each week. We hope to see YOU and your Ford in our Spotlight soon!
