CORAL GABLES, Fla. – It’s not often that we get to report on an all-new event which features the best-of-the-best in the automotive world, but that’s exactly what our own Ford Performance photojournalist correspondent Jeff Burgy has done with this Quick Look submission. Jeff attended the inaugural ModaMiami event, a recent three-day weekend celebration of world-class motor cars, culture, and luxury experiences. Billed as an evolution of traditional concours d’elegance events, ModaMiami brought together the car collector, luxury and design worlds for a multi-faceted experience hosted on the grounds of the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.
The inaugural ModaMiami event weekend welcomed over 8,000 attendees who saw more than 400 of the world’s best and most exquisite cars, from the RM Sotheby’s Miami auction offerings to the ModaMiami weekend show field that included a rare, once-in-a-lifetime chance to see eight former Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Best of Show winners in one location, as well as enjoy the luxury offerings and hospitality through the Casa Tua Club at Moda. It also featured high-end experiences that ranged from famed cuisine prepared by renowned celebrity chefs to superb driving opportunities.
Burgy, a longtime Shelby enthusiast and a co-founder of the SAAC-Motor City Region Shelby club more than four decades ago, dubbed it a “new lifestyle event featuring exotic and classic cars, fine art, jewelry, a road tour, and an RM Auction.” Of course, Jeff’s interest centered on “a very special display of cars from Shelby American featuring original Shelby Cobras and Shelby Mustangs.”
Of course, he brought his trusty camera along and offered these shots of some of his favorite Fords he spotted on display there, these among the more than 500 photos he took during the event. Enjoy!
