LAKE HELEN, FL – Each spring, the Volusia Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) hosts its annual “Heritage Classic and Antique Car Show” at Blake Park in Lake Helen, Florida, and it always draws an eclectic mix of collectible vehicles – including a good number of Fords. As in the past, this year’s 46th annual show was open to owners of antiques, classics, rods, customs, muscle cars, imports, sports cars, and specialty trucks of nearly every make and vintage.
Organizers expected some 300 cars to be registered with the club offering trophies for participants, including those for such classifications as Rat Rods; Volusia Region Member Open Car, Closed Car and Trucks; Favorite 70s Vehicle; Street Rod/Modified Trucks; Best T-Bird; Special Interest/Replica; and Imports, just to name a few. The show also included door prizes, a swap meet, a car corral, a 50/50 drawing, food, music and special raffles and giveaways. Longtime Shelby enthusiast and SAAC-MCR club co-founder Jeff Burgy attends this event often, telling us that the venue at Blake Park offers plenty of shade, restrooms and spectator parking in addition to all of the great cars. This past April 30, Jeff was there with his camera, and shares photos of some his favorite Fords that were on display at the show in his photo gallery below. Enjoy:
