HOUSTON, Tex. – If you happened to watch coverage of the inaugural Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Houston, you probably saw headlines about a 2019 Ford GT that crossed the block at no reserve. It was Lot #759 – a 2019 Ford GT Lightweight, Chassis #42. It featured $74,750 in factory options and had just 8 miles on the ticker. It – along with a purpose-built custom trailer – sold for the bargain price of $1,199,000. But there were plenty more classic and collectible Fords at Barrett-Jackson’s very first auction event in Houston that didn’t require a million bucks to take home.
Our own Eric Pasteiner was there from September 16th through the 19th to help promote the new Ford Special Vehicle Registry program https://specialvehicleregistry.com, and got the chance to take a break to walk through the auction’s staging area with his camera.
