SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – For the past three years, Ford Performance Club Connect has been gaining traction with the Ford enthusiast club community all over the world. From San Diego to Spain and everywhere in-between, the program boasts connections with Ford clubs on just about every continent. With more than 400 Ford vehicle clubs now registered, our mission is to continue growing the program to find, connect and promote every Ford enthusiast club or social media group that exists on the planet. While we ask all Ford fans to spread the word about registering with Club Connect, another way to help us reach our goal is to get out there and mingle in the car community to show people the benefits of Club Connect – which is exactly what we did recently at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction back in March.
To assist in our promotion, we invited the Arizona East Valley Mustang Club to join our cause. In our Ford Performance Club Connect display, we featured club member Denver Wells’ 1967 Mustang Fastback restomod, equipped with a new Ford Performance pushrod crate engine, as well as Bill Zimmer’s original 1969 Mustang Mach 1 parked outside. At our display, we set up monitors with club maps and event information and met with hundreds of Ford enthusiasts over the seven days of attending the auction. Many Ford fans were not aware of the special Ford Performance program or website, but were delighted to find out that a Ford club support and promotional program like Club Connect exists and that they could find a Ford club or event near them just by checking the site.
