CASA GRANDE, AZ -- We have to admit that we were disappointed after the Mustang Club of America’s Spirit of the West show set for October 8-10 in Tucson was cancelled due to the Pandemic. But even though the Old Pueblo Mustang Club’s MCA National event didn’t happen as planned in Tucson this year, the Desert Sky Mustang Club’s show set for November 14th was a go in nearby Casa Grande, Arizona, about an hour up I-10 from Tucson. So Ford Performance packed up our Club Connect Transit van and headed down Route 66 for a car-show weekend in the desert.
We set up our Ford Performance Meet & Greet tent on a perfect, sunny Saturday morning for the club’s 8th Annual All Ford-powered and Mustang Show at Jones Ford in Casa Grande. We donated some door prizes, played giveaway item trivia with attendees and spent the day talking Mustangs and Fords while handing out free, full-color Mustang posters and collectible Ford Performance wristbands. The event ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the dealership, and our friends in the Desert Sky club put together a family fun show drawing nearly 100 hot Fords, with Participants Choice judging for 1st and 2nd Place trophies in 16 categories, plus a Best of Show selection.
We were able to take some time out from tent duty to walk the show field and pick out some of our favorite rides so that we could choose a half-dozen “Ford Performance Pick” awards of our own. What’s more, we brought our camera along to snap shots of some of the fine Fords we saw on display there to share with you in the galley below. Enjoy:
