MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – For 10 consecutive years, the Coastal Carolina Mustang club has hosted the Grand Strand Mustang Stampede at the famous Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. With the weather staying a bit warmer for the later months of the year in this part of the county, the club has been able to count on higher attendance because of sunny October Myrtle Beach weather. Ford Performance headed down to check out the show this year and found the strong turnout of fine Mustangs and Fords to be a sight for sore eyes after the cancellation of so many car shows this year.
The two-day event started on a Friday, which gave vendors -- including the Ford Airbag Recall team -- enough time to get their displays set up and allow for those looking to get registered early a chance to do so. Day One of the Stampede drew approximately 50 vehicles, with mostly Mustangs and a few miscellaneous classic Fords on display in the show area. On Saturday’s second day of the event, just about the entire Dave and Busters parking lot was filled with Mustangs of every generation, as well as a few other notable Ford-powered vehicles. The event included a live band, 50/50 raffles and awards, which were given away for every generation of Mustang. While we didn’t have our Ford Performance Club Connect Meet & Greet display available to set up at this particular event, we were still able to connect with many enthusiasts in attendance – some of whom you may learn about in an upcoming Fan Spotlight feature on FordPerformance.com! For those of you who couldn’t make it to Myrtle Beach for the show, check out some of the vehicles we saw on display in our photo gallery below:
