STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Sure, you can walk into just about any auto parts store and pick up a generic can of tire shine or quick detailer, but does that store host Cars and Coffee events and provide a man cave-like shopping experience and information sharing? Probably not. But that’s where Detail Garage / Detroit East separated itself from the pack recently with a cool cruise-in event to help mark the grand opening of a Detroit-area location.
What started in California as retail outlets for car detailing products from ChemicalGuys.com has now become a chain of over 50 locations all over the United States. Their primary goal is to provide high-quality car-care and automotive detail products and info to local communities.
Detail Garage’s newly established Detroit East store hosted a pair of Cars and Coffee events for their customers to come out and show off their highly detailed rides. It was great to see that of the 30 or so vehicles that made an appearance, roughly half of them carried the Blue Oval. Ford marketing retiree, Boss 302 owner and car-show super-fan Bill Cook took a cruise out to the Detail Garage’s second event on a Saturday morning at the end of June to check out the event. Take a look at what he saw inside and outside of the store in his photo gallery below:
