PLYMOUTH, Mich. – So what would you do if a well-known performance shop in your area invited you and a bunch of your Mustang club friends to come out to their facility on a sunny afternoon for a free mini-car show and some free hot dogs? Why, you’d fire up your hot Ford and show up, of course!
That’s precisely what we did when former Ford engineer Scott Hoag put out word that he’d be hosting an open house and cookout at his Mustang Racing Technology (MRT) shop in Plymouth Michigan. At least a half-dozen local Mustang clubs were invited, and thanks to Hoag’s good fortune with the weather and good hot-dog grilling skills with the barbeque, Mustangs from around the region overfilled his shop’s parking lot and spread out onto adjacent lawns.
Ford Performance arrived to set up its well-traveled Meet & Greet display tent and hand out just-released 2019 Mustang Bullitt posters to the fans who gathered at the MRT event held on Saturday, September 29, 2018. While there, Ford Performance Communications Manager John Clor snuck away from tent duty for a few minutes to grab a hot dog and tour the mini Mustang show to take photos of some of the more notable rides on display. He shares his shots with us in the gallery below:
