DEARBORN - Ford Performance was out in full force at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which took place over the first week of July. Displays, demonstrations and divulgations filled the English countryside, with Ford’s road cars and race cars alike placing permanent smiles on the faces of attendees.
Highlighting the weekend was the unveil of the Ford GT Mk II, a limited-edition, track-only GT built in partnership with Multimatic that represents the next stage in Ford GT performance.Speaking of the next stage of Ford Performance, the all-new Shelby GT500 made its European debut, thrilling fans all the way up the hill and as they got up close & personal at the Ford display.
Also in action for the first time was the all-new Focus ST, Ford of Europe’s larger four-door hot hatch. Fan favorites Ken Block and Vaughn Gittin Jr. returned to the hill with a tire-smoking trio:
