Lifesize 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Recreated Using LEGO Bricks

According to Jalopnik, the 1:1 scale Mustang was unveiled at MCA’s 40th Anniversary celebration at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway earlier this month on its way to LEGOLAND Florida. Weighing in at 1,712 pounds, the Mustang masterpiece sits on an aluminum chassis weighing about 752 pounds, with the remaining 960 pounds made up entirely of LEGO bricks.

Built at LEGO’s headquarters in Enfield, Connecticut, the designers paid attention to every detail such as the pony emblems, wheels and windshield wipers. Even the headlights and tail lights work, a testament to the eye for detail that LEGO’s designers put into this pony car. The classic Mustang is set to replace a Ford Explorer (also built from LEGO bricks) at the LEGOLAND location.
