FERNDALE, Mich. – More than 1 million enthusiasts from near and far come to Detroit on the third weekend of August each year to see and hear some 40,000 classic and collectible cars cruise along one of America’s most iconic roads and experience car culture in The Motor City – the very place where the American auto industry was born. With the 2022 Woodward Dream Cruise being sponsored by Ford for the fifth straight year, you’d expect plenty of still-popular FoMoCo vehicles such as Mustang, Bronco and F-Series to take center stage – and that they certainly did.
Yes, another annual Woodward Dream Cruise is in the memory books, and despite the threat of afternoon thunderstorms, the 2022 edition of the world’s largest one-day automotive event did not disappoint for the thousands of Ford fans who joined in this rolling celebration of the car. While the Ford faithful were stationed at several spots along the cruise route, the biggest and most impressive Ford footprint is always Ford’s famed “Mustang Alley” where corporate displays and hundreds of owner-loved Mustangs from every vintage are on display – from classic stock to modded show-stoppers. It’s easily the epicenter of Ford fandom at the Woodward Dream Cruise.
