# Andy Priaulx

Three-time FIA World Touring Car Champion, Andy Priaulx, joined Multimatic Motorsports in 2016 when he was signed up to race the Multimatic-run #67 Ford GT in the FIA World Endurance Championship. When the Ford programme came to its conclusion in 2019, Priaulx took on a new role with Multimatic, working on various motorsports projects where his experience at the sharp end of racing is of great benefit to the business.

Although he is best-known for his multiple Touring Car titles, Priaulx immediately proved to be a formidable threat in the Ford GT, taking multiple victories during the course of the Ford GT race programme, alongside his regular team mate, Harry Tincknell.

Highlights of the programme for Priaulx were the first WEC victory, which he and Tincknell took at Fuji Speedway in 2016, swiftly followed by the second victory in Shanghai, China just a few weekslater. The 2017 season saw the duo take the championship fight down to the wire and finish in an oh-so-close second place at Le Mans that year.

Such was Andy’s determination as a young man to follow his dream and become a racing driver, he gambled his house on it! He did this to raise the funds he needed to succeed in motorsport in 1996, then did it again just three years later! Since then, he hasn’t looked back and in addition to his triple touring car world titles the British driver has won the FIA European Touring Car Championship and the Renault Spider Championship. In 2005 and 2006 he was the BMW Williams F1 team official test driver. He is a Nürburgring 24 Hour and Sebring 12 Hour race winner and he also triumphed at the Race of Champions, winning every race for Team GB in 2008.

In late 2023, Priaulx was announced as a factory driver for the Mustang GT3 programme where he acts as a “super sub”, sharing his vast experience with the younger drivers on the team.

Andy’s full title is Andy Priaulx MBE, awarded to him in 2008 for services to motorsport, in recognition of his third World Championship.
