We’ve all heard plenty of stories about Mustang owners who do everything possible to keep from putting miles on their precious ponies and are proud of it. But when it comes to young Jacob Werner of Toledo, Ohio, the exact opposite is true. Jacob sent us a note telling us how much fun he’s had piling up some 92,000 miles on his 2013 Mustang GT Premium after only 48 months of ownership. Check out his email to us below to see why this daily driver deserves to be in our weekly Ford Fan Spotlight:

“Hi, Ford Performance! My name is Jacob Werner and I own a 2013 Ford Mustang GT Premium with a 6-speed MT82 transmission. I got the car with 31,000 miles and have gotten her up to 123,000 miles in the span of four short years. This car has been amazing – I regularly transit between Wisconsin and Ohio (previously mostly for work and now to visit family) and I could not be happier. “I think it could be worth your time to feature me and my car in your Ford Fan Spotlight because I am not only an owner who daily drives it, but I also spend a lot of time taking it to shows, casually drag racing it, and (hopefully later this year) maybe get some road-course track time with it. As Carroll Shelby is oft-quoted as saying, ‘These cars are made to be driven!’

“Thank you greatly for your consideration! Recently I have joined Millennial Mustang Registry to help spread appreciation for Mustang among young owners and promote camaraderie among young drivers. I am looking forward to all that this hobby has to offer and can't wait to have my personal Mustang be a part of that journey. I've attached some of my favorite images (there are many more!) of my car to this email for you to share. Thank you kindly!”

How YOU can Get In The Spotlight: For the past decade, one of the most popular features on FordPerformance.com and in our weekly Fast News e-newsletter continues to be "Ford Fan Spotlight," where readers can send in their own reasons why they're fans of Ford Motor Company and its vehicles. You know who they are: Ford "superfans;" grassroots Ford racers; unique Ford vehicle owners; loyal Ford enthusiasts; notable Ford club people; special Ford families; and/or any avid supporter of Ford, Ford vehicles, Ford motorsports or Ford Performance who deserves a little bit of special recognition.

All you need to do to get you, your car or candidate considered is to send in a brief description (200-500 words or less) and a few photos (in .jpeg format, preferably around 1 mb in size) with the owner’s full name and hometown, please. Just tell us about the vehicle(s) and why you think Ford Performance should feature it (them) in the "Ford Fan Spotlight" for an upcoming installment of Fast News as well as for posting on FordPerformance.com. Then email it to: ClubHub@Ford.com with your contact info. Should you wish to send a video, you simply need to post it on www.YouTube.com (preferably 1-2 minutes long) and send in the link, along with a brief description, to that same ClubHub@Ford.com email address. Your submission allows us the rights to use your words and images (along with any edits) for editorial purposes; we’ll choose one submission in random order each week to post online. We hope to see YOU and your Ford in our Spotlight soon!
