Count 25-year-old Logan Hickman as one of those young people who doesn’t fit with some popular research that claims young people aren’t in love with Mustangs and have little interest in joining Mustang clubs. When you read Logan’s email to us below, you’ll see his Mustang love runs deep and that he gives full props to his local club and club members for supporting his dream of making a 2019 EcoBoost Mustang his daily driver:

“Hi, Ford Performance! My name is Logan Hickman and I would love to see the story of my Ford Mustang featured in your Ford Fan Spotlight. I am 25 years old and currently live in Charleston, South Carolina. My journey with the Ford Mustang goes back to when I was a young kid – always looking at them and wondering to myself if I would ever be in the position to own one.

“Flash forward to May of 2019, when I was finally able to pull the trigger on my first Mustang. When my neighbor tried to make me envious by going out and purchasing a brand-new Chevy pickup, I decided to go ahead and pop for my own new ride. So I purchased a 2019 Ford Mustang EcoBoost in my favorite Ford color, Magnetic.

“I daily drive this car, and in just the nine months of ownership so far I have clocked 19,000 miles on it. Clearly, I’m not afraid to put miles on my new car; it has already helped me roll up  countless memories – enough to last a lifetime. One such trip involved convoying down to the Mecum Auto Auction in Kissimmee, Florida, to watch the Bullitt Mustang roll across the block.

“This Mustang journey of mine does not go without mentioning the countless friendships I have made in our local MCA charter club, The Low Country Mustang Club. In particular, Bill Hamilton and Matthew Corsello are two individuals who have supported me even before I wound up buying the Mustang, and have actually encouraged me in all aspects of my life.

“If there’s one thing I have learned about the Ford Mustang and through our club it’s that this is not just another hobby. It’s a family, driven by the same kind of passion. I intend to lead my young generation in this hobby so that we can continue preserving the legacy of the Ford Mustang for many decades to come!”
