NORWALK, Ohio -  Bob Tasca III set a new electric-vehicle drag racing record on June 26. In the morning, he piloted the Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 to a run of 8.26, 167 mph during an exhibition pass at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals. Hours later, Tasca re-set the record with a stunning run of 8.12 at 171.97 mph. Tasca is also the driver of the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Mustang in NHRA Nitro Funny Car. He ranks first in the 2021 NHRA driver standings.
