Quote from Vaughn
I am so pumped to have Ben join the RTR team!! He clearly has the skills on track  having progressed through PROSPEC to claim a championship in his third season and off track his  personality and passion for drifting and its fans is unmatched making him an ideal ambassador for the  sport and our partners’ brands. I could not be more excited to get him into our Mustang and team  processes. It is going to be a lot of fun to watch his rookie season shredding alongside veteran James  Deane and joining him as a teammate for a couple rounds!

Quote from Ben
I would say I finally made it joining RTR, but I’m just getting started. I’m excited to  work toward the ultimate drifting championship and do so with the best drift team and best partners on  the planet having my back.

In addition to competing fulltime, Ben will be joining the RTR Vehicles’ Drift Team throughout the year  at their activations and demos around the country.

About Ben Hobson

Ben Hobson, a self-confessed motorhead since birth, started shredding on his first dirt bike at just four-years-old.  His passion for dirt bikes drove him to compete in the AMA series for many years, but it would be in 2012 when he  discovered drifting that his love affair with motorsports kicked into high gear - it was like love at first slide!

In 2014 Ben sold his beloved Ford Mustang to help fund the launch of his drift career, but 10 years later it has  come full circle piloting the 2024 Pennzoil BC Racing Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD in his rookie season of the  Formula Drift PRO series. Ben was crowned 2018’s Lonestar Drift pro-am series champion, a victory that not only  validated Ben’s talent but secured him a Formula Drift PROSPEC license. For three-years, Ben honed his craft  cumulating into an outstanding PROSPEC season last year with three pole positions and two race wins in the  four-round season, earning the series championship.

Ben was awarded with his Formula Drift PRO license with his championship and now makes the leap to the  world’s premiere drift series joining the RTR Vehicles’ Drift Team for his rookie season in the Formula Drift PRO  series.
