Amelia Island, Fla. – For the past 24 years, some of the most exquisite automobiles from all manufactures have flocked to Amelia Island, Florida, for the Concours d’Elegance at the Golf Club of Amelia Island. If the fancy French name confuses you, “Concours d’Elegance” simply translates to “a competition of elegance.” If you couldn’t make it down to the sunshine state for this particular Concours, you should know there are several other high-end Concours events held around the country each year, including the Pebble Beach show in California, the Concours d’Elegance of America in Michigan and the Louis Vuitton Classic in midtown Manhattan.
As you might expect, Amelia Island draws some of the world’s top collector vehicles – both historic and new – to the show field. Each vehicle is inspected by a panel of judges, and the best are given awards on the final day. This show also hosts a Cars & Coffee event, a vehicle auction held by RM Sotheby’s, and a silent auction of memorabilia that benefits multiple charities, such as Community Hospice & Palliative Care, Spina Bifida of Jacksonville, the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, and Shop with Cops.
Lucky for us, long time Shelby fan and SAAC-MCR club founder Jeff Burgy was in attendance this year, and shot photos of the Fords he saw on the show field. Check out Jeff’s gallery below:
