Ford Mustang head on shot

AUSTRALIA - Tickford Racing will enter the No. 55 Castrol Racing Ford Mustang at the Sydney SuperNight event on the November 6-7 weekend, serving as the third wild card event of the 2021 season for rising Supercars star Thomas Randle. Originally scheduled for the Perth SuperNight and then rescheduled for the Phillip Island SuperSprint, the cancellation of both events has led the team to select the early November event for the final wild card outing of the season.
“Third time’s the charm, right?” Randle joked. “I’m very excited to join the field again in the Castrol Racing Mustang at the second Sydney event, especially with two night races on the schedule. The racing at Sydney Motorsport Park is always really intense, so I’m looking forward to being in the thick of it with the main game guys and hopefully scoring a few more solid results. The track looks fantastic under the lights so I’m really keen to get up there and be a part of the action.”

Randle raced earlier this year in events at Tailem Bend and Darwin, recording a pair of impressive top 10 finishes against the field of Supercars regulars. The Sydney SuperNight will be Randle’s last wild card appearance of 2021 before partnering with James Courtney in the No. 44 Boost Mobile Ford Mustang in December’s Bathurst 1000. The 25-year old will then prepare for his first full season in Supercars, joining Tickford Racing full-time in 2022.
