Download And Use Ford’s Official Logos To Help Celebrate Global Mustang Week

Mustang Week 2022 Logo

So how are YOU planning to celebrate Global Mustang Day this year? If you are a member of a Mustang club, then it’s likely you’ll be invited to participate in some sort of cruise or driving event with your Ford pony car to help mark the 58th anniversary date of the Mustang’s public introduction back on April 17, 1964. But since April 17 falls on Easter Sunday this year, many Mustang owners are planning activities on the Friday or Saturday before – and even earlier in the week. So let’s plan on celebrating Global Mustang Week as well!

Ever since the Mustang turned 50, the idea of owners and fans getting out on April 17th to celebrate National Mustang Day has grown into a global phenomenon. National Mustang Day was originally set up to be an annual fundraiser for the Mustang Owner’s Museum via the sale of windshield stickers to participating clubs. The museum, which is located in suburban Charlotte, North Carolina, set up a National Mustang Day. website to facilitate the sale of the window clings and list all of the participating club activities planned for that day, as well as to register for the museum’s own big event on that day. You can check to see what clubs are doing in your area by clicking on the 2022 National Mustang Day activities page on the website.

Of course, the Ford Mustang’s appeal goes far beyond our national boundaries – it’s become a global phenomenon. In fact, after worldwide sales for 2021 had been tallied, Mustang is the world’s best-selling sports car for the third straight year. So we’re proclaiming April 17th “Global Mustang Day” and the entire week leading up to Sunday “Global Mustang Week.” If you or your club are not on any activity list but want to show the world you’re ready to celebrate this iconic Ford pony car by getting out for a drive, we invite you to use one of our official logos (or both) for whatever you wish. Feel free to make a flag or a banner or a shirt or a sticker with the logo on it to help you make Mustang’s 58th birthday extra special. For a logo size you can reproduce, simply email Ford Performance Club Connect at ClubHub@Ford.com with the words “Global Mustang Day” in the subject line, and we’ll email you back a .jpeg image of both logos for you to download and use. But hurry – the last day to request logos is noon EDT on Thursday, April 14 – so don’t delay.

In the meantime, you can always make the drive down to Charlotte for the Museum’s weekend events, or come join Ford Performance and a couple of MCA regional clubs in Ohio for a road trip to the Halderman Museum outside of Dayton for a big April 16 Mustang cruise-in that includes several surprises and guests. So whether you prefer doing something cool with your Mustang during Global Mustang Week or taking your pony out on April 17th for Global Mustang Day, the only rules are to have fun, stay safe and enjoy the ride!

So-Cal’s Fabulous Fords Forever Show Set to Take Over the Irwindale Speedway on April 24

Billed as the West Coast’s largest all-Ford event and hosted by the venerable Ford Car Club Council, the Fabulous Fords Forever Show is back again for 2022 and set to take place on Sunday, April 24th at the Irwindale Speedway. This 36th annual, one-day Ford-filled event runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will be celebrating 119 years of Ford Motor Company, with special displays honoring 90 years of the Ford Flathead V-8 (made popular in the legendary ’32 Deuce Coupe), 60 years of the Shelby Cobra and 55 years of the Mercury Cougar.

If you are a Blue Oval fan, “Fab Fords” is one of the car shows that has to be on your bucket list. For more than three decades it had been an early-in-the-year California staple at Knott’s Berry Farm, but had lost that venue in 2019 and was moved to the parking lot of Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Attendance had sagged that year – and then was stopped altogether when the 2020 show was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic. But thanks to an easing of the virus’ grip on society in 2021 and a new agreement with Irwindale Speedway, the Fabulous Fords Forever show returned for 2021 and proved that Irwindale was a great show venue. So plan to attend on Sunday, April 24 to see some 1,200 Fords of all kinds on display in 57 show classes, plus music, sponsor displays, stage interviews and celebrity appearances. See the show’s website, https://www.fabulousfordsforever.com, for full details and registration info.
