LAKE ORION, Mich. – Car-loving people in The Motor City spend their summers seeking out every cruise-in, meet-up, club gathering and car show, making up just about any excuse they can for the need to take our prized vehicles out for a drive and show them off. While fast-food restaurants all across the country are popular venues for cruise-ins, the Culver’s franchise in Lake Orion, Michigan, north of Detroit hosts a weekly car cruise-in that begins on the first Tuesday in May. This mega cruise-in runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Tuesday night at the restaurant all summer long. In addition to seeing a wide variety of classics, hots rods and muscle cars, this particular event also features multiple weekly prizes, a trivia contest, a 50/50 raffle, and even a live DJ on-site.Black foxbody mustang from rear

When the weather is nice, this big cruise-in will attract an average of 400-500 cars so it has become a regular Tuesday night activity for our roving Ford retiree enthusiast/photographer Bill Cook. Bill attended the first Culver’s Cruise-In of 2022 and kindly treated us to a taste of some of the Fords that he spotted there in his photo gallery below:Blue GT500 S550 Mustang
