HALTON HILLS, ONTARIO, Canada – If you watch car shows on television, you may have heard of the Legendary Motor Company, and its principal, Gary Klutt. As a knowledgeable collector and restorer, Klutt opened his Legendary Motorcar Company Ltd® back in 1985 with a dream of restoring and trading in the finest and rarest of classic and performance cars. The firm soon began producing national show-winning restorations and record sales. After three short years, the Legendary Motorcar facility had grown to 4,000 square feet and restorations and sales began to include all makes and models of muscle cars.
By 1990 the company again expanded its footprint to 12,000 square feet, and began selling European marques, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Porsche – plus some of the rarest and most desired domestic models, including Shelbys. In 2002 Legendary Motorcar Company Ltd. moved into its brand-new 55,000 square foot facility in Halton Hills, Ontario, on the northwestern end of greater Toronto. This location includes a 100-car showroom, fully equipped mechanical and assembly bays, downdraft spray booth and body shop, plus a conference center. What’s more, it is the location for the television series "Legendary Motorcar" on Discovery's Velocity Channel. Each area of the restoration shop is staffed by skilled craftsmen with more than 100 years of combined experience.
Our own roving car show photographer and Ford Marketing retiree Bill Cook had made a trip to Canada when the borders had reopened. While he was in the Toronto area, he decided to check out Canada’s No. 1 collector and specialty car facility to see how many fine Fords were in Legendary Motorcar’s inventory. Of course Cook had his camera in hand to capture these photos of some of the top Blue Oval rides he spotted among the cars up for sale. Enjoy:
