With its unmatched setting in the shadow of Ford World Headquarters and an ever-growing list of activities, MotorCity FoxFest is quickly becoming a must-attend event for every Fox Chassis enthusiast. Ford Performance asked its roving photographer and Ford super-enthusiast, Bill Cook, to attend the 2025 MotorCity FoxFest at Ford WHQ on MCFF Show Day to provide photography, and he filed this report:
“Saturday was great day for hunting ‘foxes’ around Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn! Hundreds of vehicles built on Ford's ‘Fox’ platform were on display. The Ford Fox platform underpinned a variety of Ford, Mercury and Lincoln vehicles from 1978 to 1993. Cars built on this platform include the Ford Fairmont, Ford Mustang, Mercury Zephyr, Ford Thunderbird, Mercury Cougar, Lincoln Continental, and Lincoln Mark VII. The platform was also used for the Mercury Capri, Ford Granada and Ford LTD.
“I arrived at 8:30 a.m. and stayed until mid-afternoon when a strong thunderstorm rolled in, which is when I decided to roll home. (Yes, during the event we were provided access to the private ‘Ford Heritage Fleet’ display inside the WHQ executive parking garage. I was told there were 49 vehicles on display inside -- 24 Ford Performance vehicles, 15 concept cars, 6 “archives collection” vehicles, and 4 Ford marketing/communications cars.
“My time was limited there due to the coming storm and me wanting to gather more photos out in the show field. I’ll offer FordPerformance.com those pics at a later date, as there will be another opportunity for a Ford Heritage Fleet tour during the Mustang Owners Club of SouthEastern Michigan’s big annual “Mustang Memories & All-Ford Show” at Ford WHQ on Sunday, August 17, the day after Detroit’s massive Woodward Dream Cruise.”
Cook submitted almost 300 photos from MCFF25 to FordPerformance.com, who had a tough time picking their favorites for the gallery below – enjoy!
