DEARBORN, Mich. – Each year, the Mustang Owners Club of SouthEastern Michigan (MOCSEM) hosts one of the largest all-Ford car shows in the Midwest immediately following the infamous Woodward Dream Cruise. What started as a small show with 20-30 attendees has now evolved into a 750+ preregistered show at none other than Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. Of course attendees can also register the day-of, so the total number of vehicles at this year’s big show rose to 889, despite the threat of thunderstorms in the weather forecast.
This year, MOCSEM helped celebrate select Mustang anniversaries, including 40 years of the Fox Body and 50 years of the Mach 1, by setting aside special sections of the show field for them. Other special events for 2019 included a swap meet, Women’s Row, special Millennial Mustang Registry parking, prize raffles, a scholarship fund award, and a great selection of food trucks. The Ford Performance Enthusiast team set up our display in the center of the show field with none other than original Mustang designer Gale Halderman in out tent doing a book-signing and a meet-and-greet.
“Another very successful Mustang Memories show in the books,” said MOCSEM president Mike Rey. “You have to love experiencing the themes we host each year – and this time around, the Foxes and the Mach 1’s were awesome to see!”
Next year marks the 45th anniversary of the Mustang Memories show, and we’ve heard some insider news that the club has already started the planning process to make it the biggest and best show yet! In the meantime, check out our selection of show favorites in our gallery below:
