First-ever Ford Ranger Raptor to Lead Supercars Pack as Official Recovery Vehicle for Australia Supercars Championship

MELBOURNE, Australia - The first-ever Ford Ranger Raptor has been named the Official Recover Vehicle for the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship as well all supporting categories at Supercars Australia events. The Ford Ranger Raptor, which will join the Ford Performance line-up in Australian showrooms later in 2018, and comes with exclusive features unique to the light commercial segment.

The Ranger Raptor’s role as Official Recovery Truck will see it on duty at Supercars Australia events nationwide, including the flagship Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. Ranger Raptor will also be on standby for all support categories and series at Supercars events, putting its on- and off-road capability to the test.

Ranger Raptor has been developed to deliver the ultimate performance experience for off-road users, benefitting from Australian-led design and engineering at venues across the world including Ford Australia’s You Yangs Proving Ground and Ford’s Raptor Proving Ground in Borrego, USA, where the F-150 Raptor was tested. It builds on the Ranger’s popularity as 2017’s best-selling 4x4 Dual Cab in Australiai.

The Ford Ranger Raptor will debut as the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Official Recovery Truck following its arrival in Australian showrooms in Q4, 2018.
