DEARBORN - Looking for a cool car-show getaway weekend just before the Fourth of July holiday weekend? Then why not check out the annual Midwest Ford Fest? This year, our friends in the Midwest Blue Oval Club are taking over Main Street in downtown Blue Springs, Missouri, for their big show on June 30^th. Come to see all the Fords and Ford-powered cars, and take part in the music, awards, door prizes, 50/50 drawing, Kids Korner, and many other activities for the whole family. Plenty of shade and food will be available, too.

If six-cylinder Mustangs are your thing, then you owe it to yourself to check out the Mustang 6 Association’s “Mustangs at the Fair” National show at the Wilson County Fair Grounds in Lebanon, Tennessee on June 29-30. On Friday the 29^th they’re organizing a "Pony Trail" drive to cool sites in the area, followed by a Hospitality Banquet. The M6A’s 4^th Annual National Show happens on Saturday the 30th – but just a reminder this show is ONLY for 6-cylinder Ford Mustangs of all years.

Ever wish you could just head “Back To The ’50’s” to get your car fix? We do, too, and that’s why you’ll find the Ford Performance events trailer at the big annual show with same that name outside Minneapolis. This year’s nostalgia weekend is set for June 22-24 and is again sponsored by the Minnesota Street Rod Association and held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Saint Paul. Look for Ford Performance nestled among the 12,000-plus show car entries!

If more traditional Mustang and Ford shows are more your preference, there’s a few coming up that you need to know about: Second-generation Mustang fans made history back in 2106 when 82 Mustang II’s descended upon the big “Mustang Memories” show at Ford World Headquarters as part of the first-ever national Mustang II Reunion, setting a record for the most Mustang II’s to appear at any single event. Ford Performance, who spearheaded the 2016 reunion show effort to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of the Mustang II Cobra II, won praise in the Mustang enthusiast community for organizing what it thought would be an once-in-a-lifetime event. But it seems that show-within-a-show idea has stirred renewed interest in the once overlooked Mustang II.

Last August, the Mustang Club of Ohio kept the second-gen Mustang momentum going with “Mustang II Reunion II” commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the first T-Top Mustang while headlining the club’s “Annual All-Mustang Show.” There, more than 30 Mustang II’s joined the celebration. And we’re pleased to announce that for 2018, there is indeed a “Mustang II Reunion III, this time celebrating the 40^th Anniversary of the Mustang II King Cobra.

The Queen City Mustangers will be hosting “Mustang II Reunion III” as part of their “11^th Annual Queen City Mustangers Pony Trail and Car Show” being held June 29-30 at Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio. The Friday “Pony Trail” leaves from the high school for a scenic drive, with a stop for lunch and dessert at a local Ford dealership. Saturday’s judged show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the school lot, where Ford Performance will set up a special “Mustang II Reunion III” Meet & Greet. We’ll be doing our part to celebrate the 40^th birthday of the King Cobra by giving out commemorative window clings and special Ford Performance “Certificates of Appreciation” for all registered Mustang II show participants. We’ll also choose our favorite Mustang II’s for some special awards. All Mustangs are welcome, but if you happen to own a Mustang II – you won’t want to miss making a trip to Cincinnati to attend this show!

Can’t wait until the end of the month? This weekend there’s the huge Mid-America Ford and Shelby Nationals – one of the biggest "must-attend" Ford enthusiast events in the country. This year's 43^rd Annual Mid America Ford Nationals on June 13-17, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, includes Ford Ride & Drives, a weekend of open track at the Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, and a full day of drag racing at Tulsa Raceway Park. Take the family along for Cruisin’ Tulsa at the Brady Ford Fest, and don't miss the swap meets, auction, banquet, prize giveaways, or the huge All-Ford Super Show and awards!

Also running June 13-17 is the “30^th Annual Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup” out in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. You owe it to yourself to check out this event here. Or check out the SVT Cobra Mustang Club’s “4^th Annual Clinton Ford Show” on June 16^th at the dealership in Rock Hill, SC. The show offers family fun with a free lunch, ice cream, a NASCAR simulator, and some of the coolest Mustangs in the Charlotte, NC, area.

On Saturday June 16, you can bet Mustang fans all over the country will be heading for the big “American Muscle” show set tom invade Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, PA. There you’ll find some 10,000-plus late-model Mustang enthusiasts who like to party. Beyond all the great Mustangs, there are prizes, trophies, special guests, an Opening Ceremony Parade, Revving Competition and a Burnout Competition, plus much more. Click HERE for info.

There are lots of great Mustang club shows this month that should be on your radar, too: The Falls City Mustang Club of Southern Indiana is presenting its “23rd Annual Mustang and All Ford Weekend” on June 15 at Jim O'Neal Ford in Sellersburg, Indiana. On June 16, the Vintage Mustang Owners Association is hosting the “41st Annual Vintage Mustang Owners Association Car Show” at The Home Church in Campbell, California; that same day over in Rancho Cordova, California, you’ll find “Mustangs and Fords at the Marriott,” put on by the Sacramento Area Mustang Club; and finally there’s the “11th Annual Mustang vs Camaro Showdown” on June 16 at Hollywood Gaming in Austintown, Ohio, hosted by Mahoning Valley Mustangs.

If June 23 is your only day to play, then you should check out the “34th Annual Mustang and Ford Show” at Bass Pro Shops in Olathe, Kansas, sponsored by the Mustang Club of Greater Kansas City; the “4th Annual Mustangs and Ponies All Mustang Show” at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota, thanks to the efforts of our friends in the Southwest Metro Mustang Club. And on Sunday June 24^th, you’ll find the Western New York Shelby and Mustang Club’s “42nd Annual All Fords Day and MCA Regional Mustang Car Show” at The Wings Meeting Place Event Center in Orchard Park, New York; as well as the Bay Area Mustang Association’s annual “Ponies and Snakes” show at Danville Livery in Danville, California.

No matter what you decide you’d like to do with your free time, the great thing about owning a performance Ford is that – unlike with buying one of those “appliances” from the other automakers – when you buy a Ford, you buy into an entire enthusiast world!
