KISSIMMEE, Fla. – “Glass packs on a hot Mustang. A Telecaster with a twang. Quietly, quietly, quietly making noise,” Jimmy Buffet sings in the tune dubbed “Quietly Making Noise.” In the burgeoning new shopping and dining venue called “Sunset Walk,” which adjoins the nascent Margaritaville resort, named after the troubadour’s famous tune, in Kissimmee, Florida, the sounds of rumbling exhaust joined the tunes that filled the outdoor show venue.
The Cruisin Orlando group puts forth automotive events all around Central Florida. It began as a Brand X club, but quickly began welcoming all years, makes and models of bikes, cars, and trucks at its events. The group put on its first event at Sunset Walk on June 9, 2019, and the turnout was 140 cars strong -- with a healthy participation from a wide variety of Blue Oval machinery.
Those in attendance were able to check out everything from street rods to kit cars and classics to modern muscle machines. In between car spotting, the venue offered a wide variety of shops and restaurants to keep the crowds entertained. Among those venues is a Ford’s Garage restaurant, where showgoers could stop in and enjoy an automotive-themed meal or libation.
In all, it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, so check out our photos from the inaugural event below. The turnout prompted ongoing installments of the Sunset Walk show, with the next taking place on September 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., so if you are visiting Margaritaville, be sure to stop in.
