NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – For more than two decades now, classic and custom car owners and fans have been congregating on historic Canal Street in downtown New Smyrna Beach, Florida, on the second Saturday of each month for a good, old-fashioned cruise-in. This popular event is hosted by the East Coast Cruisers car club and attracts anywhere from 200 to 500 the finest custom and collectible cars, trucks and motorcycles you'll find along Florida’s east coast.

The monthly car cruise-in on Canal Street provides plenty of shops for browsing and eateries for food and drinks. Open to all with free admission, cruisers usually start arriving around 3 p.m. and the streets are blocked off to through-traffic at 4:00 as the DJ fires up some music and the show begins. With so many great cars and car people to see and meet here, you can be sure there are always some cool Fords in attendance. As you might expect when we talk about car events in Florida, longtime Shelby enthusiast and SAAC-MCR club founder Jeff Burgy often visits the Canal Street Cruise, and stopped in a few months ago with his camera. Jeff sent us photos of some of the Blue Oval rides he spotted during the December 2018 event, and kindly shares shots of his favorite Fords with us in his photo gallery below:
