#16 Greg Biffle
|Crew Chief||Matt Puccia|
|Birthday||DEC 23, 1969|
Greg Biffle is the unquestioned leader at Roush Fenway Racing and he enters the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season looking to not only get back into victory lane, but compete for the elusive championship that would make him the first driver to win titles in all three top series.
The Washington state native endured one of his most challenging seasons in 2015 as he finished 20th in the point standings with 3 top-5 and 4 top-10 finishes. Biffle, who won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series title in 2000 and the NASCAR XFINITY championship in 2002, is searching for his first win since getting Ford’s 1,000th NASCAR victory in 2013 at Michigan International Speedway.
Biffle enters 2016 with 19 career NSCS wins, and is one of a select number of drivers to have at least one win in all three of NASCAR’s top touring series. Overall, Biffle has 55 combined victories (16 NCWTS, 20 NXS, 19 NSCS), 38 poles and two championships.
He is tied with Davey Allison for 11th-place on the all-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win list with Ford and is one of only four drivers to post double-digit victories in Fusion with 10.
· The man who gets credit for discovering Biffle is the late Benny Parsons, who saw him compete in the NASCAR Winter Heat Series in the mid-1990’s. Parsons recommended Biffle as a future star and car owner Jack Roush paid attention and hired him in 1998.
· Biffle grew up in the great Northwest and participated at such tracks as Portland Speedway in Oregon and Tri-City Raceway in Washington.
· Besides his outstanding performance on the track, Biffle has been a standout off it as well through his Greg Biffle Foundation, which benefits animals throughout the country.
