LAKE HELEN, Fla. – The “Heritage Classic & Antique Car Show” held in Lake Helen, Florida, each year is one of those great automotive events that truly features something for everyone. The show is spearheaded by the local Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) affiliate, and is open to owners of antiques, classics, rods, customs, muscle cars, imports, sports cars, and specialty trucks. Like last year, show organizers drew some 300 registered vehicles and offered more than 50 trophies for participants. They included top picks in such classifications as Rat Rods; Car and Trucks; Favorite 70s Vehicle; Street Rod/Modified Trucks; Best T-Bird; Special Interest/Replica; and Imports, just to name a few. The show also included door prizes, a swap meet, a car corral, a 50/50 drawing, and special raffles and giveaways. The venue at Lake Helen’s Blake Park offers plenty of shade, restrooms, and spectator parking.
Longtime Shelby enthusiast and SAAC-MCR club founder Jeff Burgy went to Blake Park in Lake Helen to attend this year’s version of the “Heritage Classic and Antique Car Show” and has agreed to share his personal photos from the event with us in the gallery below.
