ORLANDO, FL – Located on the grounds of the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Florida, Grande Lakes hotel is the setting for the 12th Annual “Festivals of Speed” which showcases over 300 exotic and classic cars, watercrafts and motorcycles each December. The high-end event attracts a diverse array of vehicles from all makes and models, all displayed in a luxurious setting amid fine wines, culinary offerings, lounges and live music.
Members of the Ford Performance Club of Florida (FPCF) were on-site for this event and many of them displayed their Fords which attracted a great deal of attention. In fact, a handful of club members won awards in various classes. One ’65 Mustang Fastback took the crown for “Best Mustang,” while a 2016 Mustang GT350R won “Best Race-Prepped,” and the “Best American Classic” winner was a club member’s ’65 GT350R replica. Even though this event was filled with high-dollar exotics that are not often seen on the road, the club members’ Blue Oval rides were able to share center stage at this high-roller show.
Ford Performance was not able to attend this Festivals of Speed event in person, but we sent a supply of full-color Shelby GT350 posters along, with some other Ford Performance goodies, for the FPCF members to hand out on our behalf. FPCF member David Grooms was there with his camera taking shots of the Ford display and agreed to share his photos here. Enjoy!
